So here’s the deal, there will never be any nation on earth like yours. No place that should make you self determined more. The truth however for us Cameroonians is different; to many of us this place that was supposed to be everything to us has been a constant torn in our collective flesh. The good memories have disappeared with age, and as time has unraveled, the path towards patriotism has been made murky with lies, greed and healthy servings of wickedness, to the point were there is little difference between our beautiful nation and a predator gunning for our existence.
It’s these facts that give rise to questions by everyday people birthing the notion by the elites of a revolt that has never really been true. There is a disconnect, a misalliance between the people and their representatives and vice versa. There is now no difference between our rights and the will of our leaders. There is constant failing in leadership without any direct consequence to those perpetrating them and this culture has trickled down to the very roots of everyday society with youths who are the leaders of tomorrow aspiring to become embezzlers of the future; keeping the country in a perpetual state of free fall. The honest reality is no amount of education and enlightenment can ever eradicate this cancerous way of existence - the only way to be free of this dilemma is to actively change the statuesque. Begin using the rights given us as a people to ask real questions that go to root out wickedness from todays society and placing harsh and severe consequences to those perpetrating them, only then will we have a semblance of a solid society and only then can we implement policies that will root them out for good for future generations.
It is therefore in our best interest to rise up from our slumber and take the bull head on, listen while trying to make our voices heard, act but give space for actions or inactions to confirm our decry, debate/disagree and compromise on issues that split the nation, be diligent in our civil responsibilities while demanding a strict respect for our human rights, truly hold those responsible for treasonous and deplorable actions responsible while giving opportunity for those with demonstrated abilities the chance to become custodians of positions of responsibility regardless of age this and many more actions will begin to lay the foundation of our acceptance that we have had a huge fall from grace and that it is only the acceptance of this fact that will help us root out the facets that have kept us from growing strong as a nation thus creating space for the foundation of tomorrow‘s society to be built.
