SDF condemns targeting of its party members by #Separatists who are reportedly demanding a 36 million FCFA ransom for the release of Honorable Wainanchi Honorine Nchabi.
In a statement moments after the news broke by Mimi Mefo Infos, Maitre Djomgang stressed “We the SDF are not in power, we didn’t cause the war, they should go after the government which is in power. They can come for the SDF when we are in control. And when the time comes, we will stand for federalism and not decentralisation,”
David Atangana further reports that Honorable Wainanchi Honorine Nchabi, a Social Democratic Front (SDF) member of Parliament in Boyo, North West Region of Cameroon was on Sunday February 5, 2023 kidnapped by Separatist fighters — and taken to an unknown destination.
Reports say Hon Wainanchi was abducted on the Bambui road in Mezam Division of the restive North West Region.
She was returning from her constituency when the armed men swoop on her, MMI has learned.
Speaking to the media, the SDF SG, Maître Adeline Djomgang criticised “targeted attacks on the SDF” and urged Separatists to hold the Yaounde government to account.
