ELECAM has made public the the lists of candidates accepted for the 12 March 2023 Election

ELECAM, is working overtime to make sure everything is in place for the general elections to take place this March in Cameroon.

With the elections only a month away now, ELECAM has released the accepted list of candidates for the aforementioned election yesterday as they tick off the boxes heading into the hectic period of the election.

The general election in Cameroon doesn't only involve senators and parliamentarians, but includes Mayors as well. This election no doubt holds in the balance the future of legislation and council authority in Cameroon for the next decade and is the foundation on which the next presidential election will be built.

Lack of campaign and obvious political aura has made this coming March election a mere procession and in the minds of many on the street, just a show to hide the facade of how big positional decision are made in the country.

It is left to be seen what ensues, but ELECAM says it is ready to handle the election and all eventualities moving forward.
